Yoga Nidra                     Special Pricing:  $15/session; Six Sessions/$72                                                         $20 per session; Six  sessions / $ 100.00

An enjoyable and easy practice, Yoga Nidra is more accessible than most forms of yoga since all it requires is to lie down, breathe, and listen. It can be practiced at any time of the day preferably two hours before or two hours after a meal. Yoga Nidra can be done in savasana pose — simply lying on your back — or side laying for pregnancy, snoring, or coughing. It can also be done seated as for meditation. Through the use of guided imagery, breath awareness and body scanning, these guided relaxations help alleviate not only muscular tension, but also mental and emotional stress. Yoga Nidra is also one of the best  insomnia cures. Additionally, many studies have documented that Yoga Nidra may be applicable to nervous disorders, irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive issues, high blood pressure, headaches, migraines, back pain, chronic pain, irritability, anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, cold hands and feet, diabetes and overeating.  It is also helpful in supporting smoking cessation and in boosting the respiratory tract and the immune system .  Yoga Nidra may be beneficial for dyslexia, learning disabilities, poor memory, ADD, ADHD, OCD and autism. And the list of benefits goes on.

Introductory Meditation

Six week group session / $120.00

Meditation is an approach to training the mind, similar to the way that fitness is an approach to training the body.  Many meditation techniques exist. Traditionally the word ‘meditation’ is equivalent to a word like ‘sports’ in the U.S. It’s a family of activity, not a single thing and different meditative practices require different mental skills. In general, the easiest way to begin meditating is by focusing on the breath — an example of one of the most common approaches to meditation: concentration.  This course includes background information, the effects and benefits of meditation, plus experiential practice within each of the two hour classes.

Mindfulness Meditation

Six week group session / $120.00

Mindfulness meditation technique encourages the practitioner to observe wandering thoughts as they drift through the mind--to be the witness. The intention is to realease involvement with the thoughts and judgement of them, and simply to be aware of each mental note as it arises.  Through mindfulness meditation, you can see how your thoughts and feelings tend to move in particular patterns. Over time, you can become more aware of the human tendency to quickly judge experience as “good” or “bad” (“pleasant” or “unpleasant”). With practice, an inner balance develops. Experiential practice is included within each of the two hour classes.
